Can I get overdraft protection?

Rio Grande Credit Union has up to $500 overdraft protection on checking accounts.  The member must opt-in to activate overdraft protection.  A $25 fee will be applied to the account each time overdraft protection is used.  Members will be allowed to withdrawal up-to $500 for emergencies from their checking as long as the balance is made positive within a thirty day period, and the balance remains positive for seven days.  Members can opt-out of overdraft protection by acquiring the proper form from their local branch and filling out the necessary information.
