Tips for Updating your Fall Style
What is it about a change in seasons that brings out the “I want to buy new clothes” in all of us? It’s true that cool weather means warmer clothes, but what were you wearing last winter?
Whatever it is, here’s how you can satisfy your wardrobe cravings without spending much:
Replace buttons
Take a blazer, shirt or blouse that’s not getting much wear and update it with the colors you’re seeing in fashion magazines by getting bold new buttons.
Make your own accessories
This can be costly, so choose your beads wisely. Dress up simple clothes (or not so simple outfits) with statement earrings, over-sized rings, and clunky bracelets. Many of these are great do-it-yourself projects, so find a style you like and visit a craft store.
Get one new outfit
Treat yourself to ONE new outfit, and set a budget before leaving home. It’s also a good idea to review and organize everything you own to see what one piece would really make a difference.
Get a new hair style
While a new wardrobe would be wonderful, a hairstyle that’s dramatically different than what you’re used to will give you a whole new look. If you’re not ready to take that step, try a new hair accessory instead.
With just a little forethought, you can get “the look” of new without the cost. Don't forget to take advantage of your RGCU Rewards! When you spend you earn points, which can be used for merchandise, gift cards, or cash back. This can go to your new style!
