Why is RGCU using ITMs? Why are you changing?
ITMs allows our members to have a live face-to-face interaction with video tellers at the ATM, delivering a highly personalized, differentiated experience.
What is an ITM?
An ITM is an Interactive Teller. Picture an ATM that comes to life! ITMs allow you to interact with RGCU tellers through two-way video chat directly on the screen. You get the same wonderful, caring service from our tellers in a simpler, more secure way.
How do ITMs work?
Members simply touch the screen to get started. One of our tellers appears onscreen as a video conference, much like Skype or FaceTime. After that, your teller assists you with the same transactions you usually do. It’s that easy!
Will my transaction take longer than it does with a traditional teller?
In fact, we anticipate that your ITM transactions with our Video tellers should take less time than transacting in a branch with a traditional teller.
Where are the tellers located?
Our interactive tellers are located in a secure area here in Albuquerque.
Will there still be RGCU employees working in branches with ITMs?
Absolutely! Even with the ITMs, there will always be RGCU team members in our branches during our lobby hours to help you. Whether you need assistance with an ITM, need to open an account or apply for a loan, Member Advocates will be present in the lobbies and offices.
Do you still have drive thru services?
We are currently transitioning our drive thru service away from tubes and toward technology. You’ll be able to conduct the same transaction as before while talking live with an employee.
Are ITMs the same as ATMs?
No. ITMs can do many more types of transactions than ATMs. We still have the same network of free ATMs available to do your simple transactions, like withdrawing some cash. The ITMs are used for transactions that require a teller.
What sort of transactions can I do with an ITM?
Most teller transactions can be done with an ITM, including cash deposits, withdrawals, share-to-share transfers, loan payments and check deposits. Member Service Representatives are ready in our lobbies to help you with transactions that aren’t done on the ITM, like cashiers checks, gift cards and cash advances.
What are the benefits of using an ITM?
ITMs help us provide you with faster and more efficient service while offering face-to-face interaction.
Are ITMs replacing RGCU employees?
No, when you use a RGCU ITM, you are served by one of our team members. They work remotely from a centralized location, but you can see them and talk to them onscreen just as you would in-person. And there are still Member Relationship Officers on the floor, ready to assist you when needed.
Are the interactive tellers multilingual?
Yes! You can choose your preferred language — English or Spanish — prior to starting your session with an interactive teller.
Can I put coins into the ITM?
Similar to ATM functionality, the ITM function cannot accept or process coin.
Will the ITM dispense coins? What if I want to cash a check that is not an even amount?
The ITM will not dispense coins. For check cashing of an uneven amount, the ITM will automatically round-up to the nearest dollar and will dispense your bills accordingly.
Will the same teller handle my transaction / Can I choose my teller?
You may not always get the same teller. Instead, the next available interactive teller will be able to assist you. This helps to shorten wait times so you can get your transactions done and get on with your day!
